George was born on 17 November 1863 in Georgia. He was the son of James Robert Glore and Elizabeth Lowe.^[1]

When George was 24 he married Camilla Hasseltine Peacock on 8 March 1888 at an unknown location. The couple had 9 children: Elizabeth (Lizzie) George Glore, Charlie Clyde Glore, Florence Verlu Glore, Leila George Glore, Willie Estelle Glore, Robert Payton Glore, Lowe Baker Glore, Clifton Herbert Glore and Theresa Louise Glore.^[4]
