Note NI0964PER CATHI CLORE FROST'S RESEARCH:
The following information is from the Clore-Glore Genealogy manuscript by Delma Rae Carpenter, Sr. (1881-1967). A copy of this is available at the Madison Co., VA Library. This manuscript is a typescript and update of another, handwritten, Clore-Glore Genealogy manuscript by Dr. Arthur Leslie Keith. The original of Keith's manuscript is at the Newberry Library, Chicago., IL. Please note that some of this information has been updated by other researchers in the meantime and I'll try to add notes with the current information.
Page 60:
Samuel Glore (son of Adam Clore or Glore) married Frances Christopher, Feb. 3, 1792, present Madison Co., Va. He appears to have been living in 1835 when his father made his will but deceased at the settlement of the estate, 1845. A record given below seems to indicate that he was deceased in 1822 but I believe that that is an error. If he went with the rest of the family to Campbell Co., Ky., his family did not remain there long for they are found in Jefferson Co., Ky., in part which later became Oldham. Samuel Glore and wife Frances of Jefferson Co., Ky., on April 20, 1822, joined in deed of Morton Christopher's heirs of land in Lincoln Co., Ky. Tradition claims that he had 8 sons of whom I have found the names of but 4. He also had several daughters.
