In the 1870 census for Almont, William is a 28 yo day laborer from Scotland with an estate worth $600 living with his 24 year old wife Agnes, also from Scotland, and their one-year-old daughter Mary. Their neighbors are the William Wallace and John Milikin families.
In the 1880 census, William 38 yo and wife Agness 33 yo are living in Almont with Mary (10), William (6), Christina (3), Agnes (2) and farm laborer Somners Blasdill, 19 yo born in Canada.
In the 1900 census for Almont, William (57yo) and Agnes (53 yo) are shown as having been married for 31 years and have had six children, all of whom are still living. It shows he immigrated in 1867 and she had in 1855 (hard to read). They are living with William Glover, Jr. and his children Christina ( 23 yo, divorced teacher), Belle (19 yo housekeeper), Robert 16 yo still at school and grandson Gerold, who isn’t a year old yet.
In 1910, 67 year old William and his 64 yo wife Agnes are living in Almont next door to 27 yo Robert I. and his 31 year old wife Ella M. and their 4 yo daughter Irene(?).
