Discussion on family connections and the first name of Alice

Apparently, an examination of Groton Town records indicates that Nathaniel Woods’s eleven children, born between 1694 and 1716, were the mother is recorded as “Alles”. Three of the children Aaron, Moses, and Reuben, born 1707–1711, also have baptismal records in which the mother is noted as “Eleanor.” [1].
The original handwritten records, about the children of Nathaniel and Alles were recorded in the Groton records.[2] Since the same children are given with mother Eleanor only in the church records, it appears that “Alles” and “Eleanor” are in fact the same person[1]
