Biography

Edwin Maurice Goddard married Marion Grace Harman on 1 August 1915 at St. Michael's Church, Gloucester. Their marriage certificate recorded Edwin was a bachelor aged 21 and at that time a bandsman in the Royal Gloucestershire Hussars. His father was named as Willie Goddard, a pianoforte manufacturer. Marion was a spinster aged 24. Her father was named as William Leonard Harman, a fruiterer and poulterer. At the time of their marriage Edwin was living at 35 London Rd and Marion at 51 Barton St. Their witnesses were Willie Goddard, William Leonard Harman and Frederick William Vollam. The latter was her brother in law, married to sister Kate.

This couple had one son.

Edwin Maurice Goddard died on 17 March 1960 aged 65 years.
