Biography

Susan "Susannah" Goddard was born 16 February 1701, Newport East, Newport, Rhode Island, she was mentioned in her husband, William Wall's will of 1742. They had at least six sons and three daughters: William, Henry, Thomas, Daniel, Samuel, Ebenezer, Mary, Sarah and Susanna.

History of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations: John Allen of Portsmouth, Rhode Island married Susan Goddard Wall widow of William Wall. John Allen and Susan had one child: James.

Vital records of Jamestown, Rhode Island. The first three letters of Susannah's name were missing on the original and James Arnold guessed her name was Johanna but other records show it was Susanna(h).
