Biography
Rhoda Goddard was born in Massachusetts in 1811.
Miss Rhoda Goddard married Daniel Robinson on 20 October 1831 in Petersham, Worcester, Massachusetts. [1]
In 1850, the Robinson family lived in Petersham, Worcester, Massachusetts. The household included Daniel Robinson, 46, born in New York, a stonecutter; his wife Rhoda, 39, born in Massachusetts; their four children, Rhoda G., 17; Melinda L., 11, born in New York; Daniel S., 7; and David F., 4. All the children were born in Massachusetts, except as noted, and all were in school. Also living with them were Sylvania Ranesdell, 20, a farmer; and Eunice Goddard,, 82, born in New Hampshire, who had $1100 in real estate. [2]
In 1860, the Robinson family lived in Petersham, Massachusetts. The household included Daniel Robinson, 56, a stonecutter, born in New York, with $900 in real estate and $375 in personal estate; his wife Rhoda, 49; and their four children, Rhoda G., 27 (occupation unintelligible); Melinda L., 21, a school teacher; Daniel L., 18, in school; and David F., 14, in school. In 1870, they lived in Petersham. The household included Daniel Robinson, 66, a stone mason with $200 in real estate and $100 in personal estate; his wife Rhoda, 59, with $400 in real estate and $700 in personal estate; and their daughter Millinda, 31, with $100 in personal estate. [4]
Their daughter, Millinda, a school teacher, died about two years later, aged 33, of typhoid fever.
Rhoda died, aged 72-73, in 1884. She is buried with her husband and other family in Quabbin Park Cemetery, Ware, Hampshire, Massachusetts. [5]
