Biography

Maud was born 23 Aug 1882 in Shelby county, Illinois.^[1] She was the daughter of John Godfrey and Amanda Golloher.

She was living with her parents, stepmother and siblings in Moweaqua, Shelby, Illinois in 1900.^[2]

She married Charles Ernest Wells on 26 Aug 1905 in Knox county, Illinois.^[3] They had three children.

In 1910, they were in Raritan, Henderson county, Illinois.^[4]

In 1920, they were in Farmington in Fulton county, Illinois.^[5]

They divorced sometime between 1920 and 1930.

In 1930, she was living with son Keith and daughter Mary Doris in Albert Lea, Freeborn, Minnesota.^[6] She listed herself as divorced.

She was a lodger in Austin, Mower, Minnesota in 1940.^[7]
