Marie Anne Bergeron, veuve Godin is on the Wall of Names at the Acadian Memorial in St. Martinville, Louisiana, Plaque 3 Right. Listed with her are her four children with Alexandre Godin: Marie, Victor, Pierre Paul and Marie Louise.[1]

Pierre-Paul (called Paul), younger son of Alexandre Godin dit Lincour and Marie-Anne Bergeron and brother of Victor, born in about 1757 [2]during Le Grand Dérangement, came to Louisiana from Halifax via Saint Domingue in 1765 with his widowed mother and siblings and followed them to Cabanocé/St. Jacques, where he married Félicité, daughter of French Creole Jacques LePine of Des Allemands in St Charles Parish. They settled at New Orleans.

He is mentioned in the christening record of his daughter, born in New Orleans in January 1792. The baptismal record also names the grandparents.[citation needed]
