Biography

Cyrus Carver Goding was born in that section of Livermore, Maine, that in 1844 was set off as the town of East Livermore, on 10 Apr 1829, the son of Asa Goding and Rhoda (Goding) Goding. The 1906 Goding family genealogy gives his middle name as Chase',[1] which conflicts with his birth entry in the Livermore vital records, which gives it as Carver.[2]

The Goding genealogy says that he moved to California, married there, and died there without issue.[1] In 1860, he was living at Eden Township in Alameda County, California, in what appears from the census record to be a rooming house, at the age of 30.[3] No further record of him has been found.
