Goulburn Evening Penny Post (NSW : 1881 - 1940), Tuesday 27 May 1919. ^[2] OBITUARY. DR GODSON. Dr. Edwin Godson, formerly medical superintendent of Kenmore Mental Hospital, died on Saturday last at "St Elmo," Blackheath, at the age of 62. Dr. Godson is survived by a widow and, one son, who married Miss Heather Knowlman, formerly of this city. The doctor also had a daughter, Nurse Godson, who died in England some years ago. Some time since Dr. Godson sustained a stroke, and he never regained his health. He was a man of genial character, and was much esteemed. He was appointed medical superintendent Kenmore after the retirement of Dr. Chisholm Ross from that position. Dr. Godson's successor is the present superintendent, Dr. Hogg.
