Biography

Jacob was a Friend (Quaker)

Jacob Goff was born about 1736. He was the son of Jacob Goff and Mary (Fade) Goff.[1]

He married Elizabeth (Wilson) Goff in Edenderry, Kings County, Ireland on 8th April 1759.[1]

Jacob died in 1798.[2]

Research Notes

No birth record has been located for Jacob. His parents married in 1721 and 5 children are recorded born to them between 1723 and 1734 (see Birth transcript).[3][4] It therefore seems probable that Jacob was the youngest of the family and that his name was omitted from the family list recording the rest of the family for some reason. A birth date of 1736 would make him 23 at his marriage in 1759 which is certainly possible.
