Abraham was born in 1797. He passed away in 1860.

Birth abt 1797 • at Waterford, Ireland, father Abraham Goff.[1]

Age 27 — ordination as deacon 1824 at St Marks Church.[2]

Age 28 — Marriage to Isabella Bradish (1796–1849) 10 Jun 1825 • Liverpool, Lancashire, England: at St James Church, the Rev Abraham Goff BA Vicar of Ardemine, Wexford to Isabella, second daughter of Mr H L Bradish, of Chester Street.[3]

Age 50 — on Relief Commitee, No 5, Forth Barony County of Wexford 1847 Abraham Goff, rector of Carne.[4]

Age 52 — appointed as Vicar of Duncormack 1849 from Leslie's history of the diocese of Ferns

Legal proceedings 1850: Equity Exchange. Samuel Hore Esq plaintiff, Clement Goff & Stephens Goff Esqrs, and the Rev Abraham Goff, defendents.[5]

Marriage to Elizabeth Ridgeway 3 Nov 1852 • Lea, Queens, Ireland: 'At Lea church, Queens County, the Rev Abraham Goff, Rector of Dancormack, county Wexford, to Elizabeth, second daughter of the late John Ridgeway, Esq. of Ballydermott House, in the King's County'.[6]

Attends the funeral of Mrs James Boyd, at Bannow 1859.[7]

Death 1 Sep 1860 • Duncormac, Wexford, Ireland at the Rectory, the Rev Abraham Goff, 'aged 63 years'.[8]

Another Abraham Goff: at Enniscorthy but these Goffs were Quakers. Death 8 Jul 1842 Abraham Goff Esq, aged 84 years [newspaper report]

From The People September 3rd 1864:–

“Married August 30th at the parish church of G—hill, King’s County, by the Rev. Charles Lett, Rector of Dunaghy (?) County Aintrim, uncle to the bridegroom, George Carr Lett Esq., Solicitor, Dublin, son of Richard Lett of Balloughton, County Wexford, Esq., to Kate daughter of the late Rev. Abraham Goff, Rector of Duncormack, County Wexford. No cards." [9]

Lady Mary Elizabeth King was wife of Jonas King of Barrystown and daughter of the Rev. Abraham Goff, rector of Duncormack.[10]

  • Leslie’s History of the Diocese of Ferns has this entry for Rev. Goff, appointed as Vicar of Duncormack in 1849:--
“1849—Abraham Goff coll. Aug. 22 (D R), son of Abraham G., gen., born in Co. Waterford, ed. by Mr Montgomery, ent. T. C. D. Nov. 13, 1817, aged 20, B. A. 1822, P. C. Ardamine, 1824—32, V. Carne, 1842—49, m. at Lea Church, Nov. 3, 1852, Eliz., 2nd dau. of John Ridgeway of Ballydermot, King’s County and had issue, a dau., Katherine Frances, m. Geo.
