Biography

1849 Birth

Owen Eugene Golden b. Aug 1849[1] County Sligo, Ireland.

Research Note

Owen's birthplace was recorded as Ireland in a US Census.[1] Great grandson Paul Bryant recalled a 2016 trip his brother Kevin took to Templeboy, Sligo Co, Ireland to visit cousins. Kevin learned that both Owen and Bridget were born in Sligo. The source is a gent relative who was high-up in forestry regulation (Ireland has been under EU mandates for reforestation). Paul also recalls that his grandparent Mike Lynch referred to his father-in-law as "Ownie" Golden.
