Owen Eugene Golden b. Aug 1849[1] County Sligo, Ireland.
Owen's birthplace was recorded as Ireland in a US Census.[1] Great grandson Paul Bryant recalled a 2016 trip his brother Kevin took to Templeboy, Sligo Co, Ireland to visit cousins. Kevin learned that both Owen and Bridget were born in Sligo. The source is a gent relative who was high-up in forestry regulation (Ireland has been under EU mandates for reforestation). Paul also recalls that his grandparent Mike Lynch referred to his father-in-law as "Ownie" Golden.

OWEN GOLDEN --- Owen Golden died yesterday at his home, 136 Saratoga avenue. He was 76 years old, was born in Ireland and had been a resident of Brooklyn for fifty-five years. He was one of the pioneer produce merchants of Washington Market. He Is survived by a widow, Bridget; a daughter, Mrs Michael Lynch, and two grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 9 30 A M. Saturday, with a requiem mass at the R. C. Church of the Holy Rosary. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery under direction of John F. Fagan, Henry and Warren streets.[10]
