Oliver Perry Golden was born in 1833 in Barnwell County, South Carolina to John Golden and Eliza (maiden name unknown).[1]
He married Vilane Margaret Warren about 1853 in South Carolina.[2] Perry served as a private in Company G of the South Carolina 1st Infantry Regiment for the Confederacy during the Civil War. He was severed injured in the Battle of Chattanooga [Tennessee] and taken to a hospital in Atlanta, Georgia where he died.[3] Perry passed away in 1863 in Fulton County, Georgia and is buried in the Oakland Cemetery in Atlanta, Georgia.[4]
