"Oct. 21 – Mrs. Lewis R. McCorkle, aged 82, a life-long resident of North Jackson township, died Sunday morning in South Side Unit of Youngstown hospital. She had been in the hospital since April, when she fell and broke a hip. Mrs. McCorkle was a member of North Jackson Methodist church. She leaves a foster son, Roy W. Liby, and a host of friends. Her husband, Lewis McCorkle, died two years ago. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 pm at her late home."[4]
