Elsa was born in 1878. She passed away in 1966.

Obituary

Mrs. Elsa Houghton, 88, of 605 W. Washington St. died at 9 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 1966, at Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Houghton was born in Hillsdale, Kan., the daughter of Marion D. and Miranda [sic] Keys Goldsby.

Her husband, Lynn, a prominent farmer in the Petersburg area, preceded her in death in 1950.

She was a member of West Side Christian Church.

Surviving are one son, Hersel of Springfield; one daughter, Mrs. Hedessa McFarland of Springfield; one grandson.

Services were at Staab Funeral Home.

Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
