Biography

Thomas Goldsmith was enumerated at Decatur Post Office, Decatur District, DeKalb County, Georgia for the June 23, United States Census, 1870. He was noted as born 1851-1852 in Georgia. He was black and a house waiter as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are male George J Howard, female Maria L Howard, male William H Howard, female Alice M Howard, female Mattie W Howard, female Lizzie Howard, female Anna Howard, male Turner Howard, male (female) Paul Howard, male Polk Strong, female Susan Mead and female Delia Duran.[1]
