Elizabeth was born in 1793. She is the daughter of Henry Goldsmith and Mary Mason. [1]
Elizabeth went to Plymouth in England with her mother and her sister Jane about 1813 after her father Henry had died. Her two brothers, Charles and Hugh Colville were also there when Oliver visited in 1817, prior to his taking up his commission in Halifax. Elizabeth married Joseph Braitwaite, a merchant of Plymouth probably around 1817. Later in life, no doubt after the death of her husband, Elizabeth is to be found living in 49 Erskine St., West Derby, Liverpool with her sister Jane and brother Oliver whilst he was ill on half pay. Elizabeth was buried in the Necropolis in Liverpool, later joined by her brother Oliver.
