Biography
Harriet was baptised on 27 May 1821 in Portsea, Hampshire by parents William and Sarah. [1]
In 1842 Harriet had an illegitimate daughter, Kate Eliza. [2]
On 21 October 1849 Harriet married James Hendy in the Isle of Wight. [3]
In 1851 James and Harriet were living with 2 children in Portsea. One child was 8 year old Kate Goldsmith. James was a labourer, Harriet was a bootbinder. [4]
In 1871 James and Harriet were living in Portsea with 3 children. James was a 'labourer, dock extension' [5]
