I don't remember much about my grandfather Gómez. He left the family early on in my life. I know he owned a TV repair shop in Brooklyn. No one in my family knows where he ended up or when he passed away. My research showed that he was born Jose Gomez but later incorporated his father's name, Soler. Unfortunately, I do not have info on the Soler family line but I hope one day that changes.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Jose by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Jose:
The actual full name of Jose's biological father is unknown. Jose is listed as Jose Soler Gomez on US Census data but was born Jose Gomez. Any specific info on Jose's father Soler would be greatly appreciated.
