Biography

Jean Baptiste Gonin, a carpenter, was born in 1746 in Lyon Canton, Switzerland. He was the son of Abraham Gonin and Sarra Remond.[citation needed]

He married Marie Emmanuelle Riche on 14 March 1765 in Natchitoches, Louisiana, New Spain.[citation needed]

Jean died at the age of about 30 in September 1776 in Natchitoches, Louisiana, New Spain.[citation needed]
