Biography

Catherine was born in 1788,[1] the daughter of Johann "Henry" Gonser and Eva Weaver. She is mentioned by name and as "wife of Frederick Henney" in her father's will, inheriting the "75 acres on which they now live."[2]

Catherine married Frederick Henney in 1805,[3] and they had at least 13 children, all of whom are mentioned in the records of Salem Reformed Church in Holmes County, Ohio.[1]

In 1850, Catherine was age 61, born in Pennsylvania, and enumerated with her husband and three of the children in Mechanic Township, Holmes County, Ohio.[4] Frederick passed away in 1855, and the 1860 Census shows Catherine, age 72, in the home of her son, Samuel, in Holmes County.[5] Cannot be located in Holmes County in 1870, although her death record indicates that she passed away there in 1874. She is not in the household of son Samuel.

Catherine passed away in 1874[6] [7] and is buried at Salem Reformed Cemetery in Holmes County, Ohio.[8]

Rene,

Do you have any sources for this (parents and siblings) information? Maybe some church records? (Sorry for the very late reply, but this note was put on the profile before I adopted it and I just now saw it.)
