Frederick was born in 1898. He was the son of Herbert Gooch and Louisa Warnes. Profile manager John Perrott recalls Uncle Fred ran the Queens Head pub in Acle, Norfolk and later the South Walsham Post Office. Rita Perrott in her memoirs recorded that in her teens she would serve behind the pub bar to help out, when she asked to take home a Guinness he charged her for it! He passed away in 1972.
