Biography
He arrived in the colony with his father and siblings in 1831 on the Egyptian.
In December 1859 he was age 40, single and living on a property in York with his brother. His occupation was Farmer.
He died age 77/ 8. Death Notice records him as John Gooch eldest son and no mention of a wife or children.
He is buried in Northam Cemetery with his brother and brother's wife.
