Reverend John Gooch was born in August 1729. He was the son of Rt. Rev. Sir Thomas Gooch, 2nd Bt. and Hannah Miller.
He married Mary Sayer, daughter of George Sayer, on 11 September 1750, .[1] Children of Reverend John Gooch and Mary Sayer:
Mary Gooch married in 1793 the Rev. Dr. Houston Radcliffe, Archdeacon of Canterbury (Lord Liverpool was his father)
Rachel Gooch married in 1778 Richard Beadon, Bishop of Gloucester, Bishop of Bath & Wells, She died in 1839
He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.) and held the office of Prebendary of Ely. He was the Rector at Ditton, Cambridgeshire, and at Willingham, Cambridgeshire, England.[2]
John died in 1804 at the age of 74 and was buried in Cambridgeshire, England.[3] His Obituary was carried in the Salisbury and Winchester Journal dated 23 Jan 1804.[4][5]
