The 1898 census gives Good Red Bird Woman's Hocąk name as Wa-nic-shutch-pin-win-kaw, which is for Wanįkšujᵋpįwįga, from wanįk, "bird"; šuč (> sujᵋ), "red"; 'pį, "good, nice, pretty"; -wį-, a feminine gender infix; and -ga, a definite article suffix used in personal names. Bird names are almost always from the Upper Moiety.
Residence
In 1897, 1898, and 1901, she resided on the Winnebago Agency, Winnebago, Thurston County, Nebraska.
