Biography

George Walter Goodfellow, son of William Goodfellow and Emily Robertson, was born on March 27th of 1866 in Fallowfield, Ottawa, Carleton, Canada West.

George was married to Emma Beatrice Mason .

Burial: Pinecrest Cemetery in Ottawa, Ottawa Municipality, Ontario, Canada. [1]

Robertson family documents show his birth as 1867.

In the 1871 census, William is 65, Emily is 46, John is 26, Janet is 9, Robert T. is 6, and George W. is 4. William H. is not listed with the family.

In the 1881 census, William is 74, Emily is 58, John Robertson is 36, Jeannie is 20, and Robert Tomas is 17. George W. and William H. are not listed with the family. George is listed, age 14, living with his grandfather John Robertson (85) and John's second wife Anne (36) and going to school.

In the 1891 census, William is no longer listed with his family. He has presumably died by this point. Emily, age 67, is living with John, 46, Robert T., 36, and George W., 23.

In the 1901 census, George, farmer, age 35, is head of the family. He is living with his wife Emma B. (25), his son Victor M (less than one year old), his mother Emily (79), and his brothers John (56) and Robert T. (38)

In the 1911 census, George's mother and brothers were no longer living with the family. Instead, it was George (45), Emma (34), Victor (10), Emily (9), Jennie (7), Ebenezer (5), Thomas (3), and George (1).

In the 1921 census, the family consisted of George (55), Emma (45), Victor (20), Emily (19), Jean (17), Ebenezer (15), Thomas (13), George (11), Walter (9), and Alexander (7). At this point they were living in the city of Ottawa and George was a feed man or possibly feed foreman.
