Biography

George Goodloe was born in 1740 in Carolina, Virginia, American Colonies, son of Robert Goodloe (1711 - 1790) and Elizabeth Goodloe (~1713 - ~1769). On April 6, 1767. Robert Goodloe of St. Geo. Par., Spts. Co., to his son George Goodloe of sd. Par. and Co. Deed of Gift. 350 acres. Jo. Carter, Edwd. Herndon, John Chew. April 6, 1767.^[1]

George married Priscilla Johnston (born in Spotsylvania, Virginia Colony, British Colonial America about 1743; died in Spotsylvania about ~1784), daughter of Aquilla Johnson, on 1 Jul 1768 in Spotsylvania.

On 7 September 1790, George Goodloe was granted guardianship of his four underage sons: (1) Robert, (2) Aquilla, (3) Henry, and (4) George. The husband of George's sister Catherine, Daniel Lindsay, was named as second.^[3]

George died before 2 Dec 1801 aged ~61.
