Biography

George Goodloe was born in 1740 in Carolina, Virginia, American Colonies, son of Robert Goodloe (1711 - 1790) and Elizabeth Goodloe (~1713 - ~1769). On April 6, 1767. Robert Goodloe of St. Geo. Par., Spts. Co., to his son George Goodloe of sd. Par. and Co. Deed of Gift. 350 acres. Jo. Carter, Edwd. Herndon, John Chew. April 6, 1767.[1]

Mentions that his first wife was Priscilla Johnston/Johnson the daughter of Aquilla Johnston.
Our children are: John Goodloe, Robert Goodloe, Aquilla Goodloe, Henry Goodloe, George Goodloe and Mary Bird Goodloe who married James Stevens and Elizabeth Goodloe who married Joseph Rawlings.

George Goodloe leaves the home place to his (2nd) wife (not named) and then to their sons Sym and Jermain. Other children by last wife, were daughters: Acsah, Sally and Mildred.

George married Sarah Castelle (born in Spotsylvania Co. VA about 1744; died in Virginia about ~1830) in 1764 in Virginia. [2]Their son was Sym Bluford Goodloe (1796 - 1845).

George married Priscilla Johnston (born in Spotsylvania, Virginia Colony, British Colonial America about 1743; died in Spotsylvania about ~1784), daughter of Aquilla Johnson, on 1 Jul 1768 in Spotsylvania.

On 7 September 1790, George Goodloe was granted guardianship of his four underage sons: (1) Robert, (2) Aquilla, (3) Henry, and (4) George. The husband of George's sister Catherine, Daniel Lindsay, was named as second.[3]

in 1790, he was named in his father's will. [4]

George died before 2 Dec 1801 aged ~61.
