My complete family tree consists of many names.

My direct line of ancestry is Paternal - Mackenzie, Fraser, Holm, Bain, Mackay, Robbins + more

Maternal line - Lovell, Gaynor, Moore, Steib, + more

I was born a Mackenzie, my father came from Cromarty, Ross & Cromarty, Scotland, and I am extremely proud of my Scottish heritage. My grandfather Donald Alexander Mackenzie is an extremely well known author - his books being sold on the web even today.

My mother was a Lovell - her father was born in Greater London, England and his ancestors have been traced back to Minster Lovell.

Gaynor & Moore eloped, married in Dublin and immigrated to Australia to start a new life.

I always think how brave our ancestors were to travel for months to a country so far away.

Goodman is my married name - being from old English heritage and my husband travelled from England with his family when he was a boy.

I was born and bred in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

I have studied genealogy for over 25 years and have researched and compiled many Family Trees. Genealogy keeps teaching you new things every day - a new name, a new town, history, facts, stories, discoveries, connections and so much more.

I was at an antique auction and bid on a small white bible. I discovered an inscription on one of the inner pages. It was a gift from an uncle to his niece written in a formal fashion of the late 1800's. I decided it would be nice if I could find the descendants of this family and return this family treasure back where it belonged. This was done with my genealogical skills and what a thrill it was for me to find this family and share in their excitement.
