Biography

Leah was born on March 28, 1894 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Solomon Goodman and Jennie Nevyas.

On November 8,1914, she and David Cohen were married by Rabbi Marvin Nathan, of the Beth Israel Congregation, at the Metropolitan Drawing Room, 907 N. Broad Street, in Philadelphia. Bessie (Cohen) Gorson was her Matron of Honor.

She passed away on September 2, 1953 in Philadelphia and is interred at Roosevelt Memorial Park in Trevose, Pennsylvania.
