Biography

Edwin Goodman migrated from England to the United States.

Edwin was born in 1861. He was the son of Henry Goodman and Elizabeth Pourtney.

In the 1861 census Edwin (age 0) was the son of Henry Goodman in Worcestershire, England.^[1]

In the 1871 census Edwin (age 10), Scholar, was the son of Henry Goodman in Lower Mitton, Worcestershire, England.^[2]

He appears to have moved from the vicinity of Worcester in England to Worcester, Massachusetts, where in 1886 he married Clara E Quist. Edmn (age 25), son of Henry Goodman & Elizabeth Goodman, married Clara E. Quist (age 20y) on 6 September 1886 in Worcester, Worcester, Massachusetts, United States.^[3]

By 1890 he was living in Ontario, Canada, where he would raise his family. His eldest two children were born in the United States.

In the 1901 census Edwin (age 39) was the married head of household in Toronto Township, Peel, Ontario, Canada.^[4]

In the 1911 census Edwin was the married head of household in Toronto, York, Ontario, Canada.^[5]

He passed away in 1921, or possibly 1922. According to his death record, he was buried in "Norway". FindAGrave clarifies it was at the St. John's Norway Cemetery and Crematorium, The Beaches, Toronto
