Arlene M. Goodman Weathers, 73, of Lafayette, died Sunday, June 22, 2008, in her residence.
She was born on Dec. 28, 1934, to the late Lester Goodman and Mildred Hoagland.
In 1953, she married Richard O. Weathers Jr. in West Lafayette. She lived in Tippecanoe County her whole life. She worked for 12 years as an executive housekeeper for University Inn.
Mrs. Weathers was a member of the Hope Chapel Church, a past member of the Women's Bowling League and the American Legion Women's Auxillary in Otterbein. She enjoyed yard work, bingo and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are two sons, Darrel Weathers of Battle Ground and Perry Weathers of Dayton; and two daughters, Mary Parker (husband: Mike) of Newburgh and Darcy McIntyre of West Lafayette; three sisters, Louise Nelson of Lafayette, Maggie Stichter and Judy Emmons (husband: Dennis), both of Lafayette; and one brother, Roy Goodman (wife: Jane) of Stockwell.
Also surviving are 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kristen Weathers, and a brother, Richard Goodman.
