Event: Anecdote Note: 3 Transcribed from Case: "elected assessor [in Owego, NY] in 1854, and held the office continuously until 1871; justice of the peace in 1864, now serving the sixth successive term, of four years each (1886); associate judge in 1881 and 1883; served in the Supreme Court with Hon. Celora E. Martin of Binghamton, and in the County Court with Hon. Charles A. Clark and Hon. Charles E. Parker, judges different years". [3]
