Biography

Mary "Peggy" was born about 1775 in Ireland (Brittish side or England). Mary Goodwin married Isham Goodwin and had a son named James Goodwin. After Isham died, her second marriage in South Carolina was to Samuel Padgett known as "Old Man". After her first husband died, she had lived with her sister, Elizabeth Goodwin who had already married a Samuel Padget known as "Teacher Sam". She had a daughter named after her and known as "Little Peggy". Mary passed away about 1858. [1]
