This information based on the Goodwin Family [Sutton Bridge] is mostly from Albert Goodwin's family tree dating from 1980's Albert was born at 12, King Street, Sutton Bridge in 1919 Joined RN 1945 and captured by Japanese on Yangtze River and was a P.O.W. until after WW2. He married Emily Martin of London in 1946/7 who tragically died in childbirth in 1947. He married Miriam [Roffley] and to them they had Jane and Lorna Goodwin [died 1919]. Miriam died in 1971 aged 52 in Peterborough. They lived at 48. Cherry Orton Road, Orton Waterville, Peterborough where Miriam was post mistress for sometime in 1960/70s Albert was an electrical ['Sparks] and communications engineer in the RN and most of his life was a telephone engineer with the GP and BT until retiring at age 65. Wife Miriam was Roffley or Roffey. Two daughters Jane Goodwin- married Graham Turnbull in early 1970's when they moved to New Zealand now living at Lake Taupo, North Island. Lorna married Derek Livermore lived in Norwich, UK produced two sons Jonathan and Barnaby. Derek Livermore died in 1990's. Lorna reverted to Lorna Goodwin and herself moved to NZ and sadly died in Greymouth, South Island in 2019
