She remarried Warner Hardin after Stephen Powell died. There is a marriage record in Jefferson Co. KY Oct 31 1876 for Warner Hardin and Amanda J. Powell. A witness was Michl Hardin. (I found a Michael Hartin next door to Weller in 1860 census Jefferson Co. KY. - This Michael was born in Ireland. Stuerke-1)
Obituary in The Courier Journal, Louisville, KY May 3 , 1917 shows:
Mrs. Amanda Jane Hardin, 81 years old, died of senility following a brief illness at 6 o'clock last evening at her residence 3010 Greenwood Avenue. Mrs. Hardin was a native of Louisville. She was twice married. She leaves two sons. W.K. Powell and J. M. Hardin, and two daughters, Mrs. Anna I. Baird, of Louisville, and Mrs R. M. Moore of Pasadena, Cal., and a brother. Luther Goose. The funeral will be held at 9 o'clock tomorrow morning at the residence. The body will be taken to Jefferson town KY for burial.
