Biography

  • Adam Gordon was born in 1896 in Tullynamalloge, Keady, County Armagh, Ireland. He was the son of Andrew Gordon and Agnes Morrison[1].
  • In the 1901 Irish census Adam Gordon was age 4), living at Tullynamollogue, Co. Armagh, with his parents Andrew Gordon (45), a farmer, Agnes Gordon (26), and sister Agnes Gordon (2). Also George Parks (16), Joseph Parks (12) and James Cassidy (17), farm servants[2].
  • Another sister, Minnie Gordon, was born in 1902. Adam's father Andrew Gordon died at Tullynamollogue in 1904, age 49. His mother Agnes Gordon, married David Ferguson, a farmer from Tullynamollogue, Co. Armagh on 20 September 1905.
  • In the 1911 Ireland census, Eddie Gordon was age 14, living at Andraid, Co. Antrim with his grandmother Agnes Morrison (62), a widow, his uncles Hugh Morrison (32), a farmer, William J Morrison (30), a farmer, his aunt Mary Morrison (24), and siblings Agnes Gordon (12) and Minnie Gordon (8)[3].
