Margaret (Gordon) Skelly was born in Ireland.

Birth
Margaret Jane Gordon was born on 8 August 1882 in Kilmore, County Down, Ireland. She was the daughter of William Gordon and Elizabeth Robinson. Jane's birth was registered in the Downpatrick Superintendent Registrar's District. ^[1] Although her birth record shows only the given name "Jane", she was known as "Margaret Jane" and "Jennie" according to many of her records.

In the 1901 Ireland Census, Margaret, age 18, was recorded on Roundhill Street in Pottinger (Belfast) in County Down, Ireland. She living with her parents and siblings. She was working as a book folder. ^[2]

Margaret passed away on 31 January 1962. She was buried with her late husband at the Pine Hills Cemetery in Scarborough, Ontario. ^[8]
