Biography

Margaret Gordon was born in 1873 at Racavan, County Antrim, Ireland. She was the daughter of James Gordon and Annie Logan.[1]

In the 1901 Ireland census, Margaret Gordon was age 27, living at Fernagh, Rasharkin, County Antrim with her parents James Gordon (60), a farmer, and Annie Gordon (59) and siblings John Gordon (28), David Gordon (25), Rebecca Gordon (23) and Thomas Gordon (19).[2]

Maggie Gordon of Fenagh, Rasharkin married William John Wilson of Tamlaght, Rasharkin on 23 November 1906 at Rasharkin, County Antrim, Ireland.[3] The witnesses were William John's sister Agnes Wilson and his cousin William Killough.

William John and Maggie Wilson do not appear to have had any children.

In the 1911 Ireland census, Maggie Wilson was age 37, living at Tamlaght, Rasharkin, County Antrim with her husband William John Wilson (54) (sic), a farmer. Also Thomas Kirkwood (13), farm servant.[4]

Maggie Wilson died age 48 on 16 November 1921 in the Ballymoney district, County Antrim.[5] She was buried in the family grave of her father-in-law John Wilson at Rasharkin Presbyterian Church.[6]
