Biography
Thomas was born about 1400. He was the father of Christian Gordon.[1]
Research Notes
According to Memorials of the Family of Gordon of Craig: "Macfarlane mentions (Vol. II p 227) that a Christian Gordon, daughter to Thomas Gordon of Auchindoir, married Duncan Forbes of Argreighton [2nd son of the first Sir John Forbes of Tolquhon] "father of Sir John Forbes in Terpersie." This Thomas was presumably the Thomas Gordon, son of Patrick of Johnisleys, mentioned in the charter granted by Adam of Aboyne in 1517."[2]This is perplexing as Thomas was born about 1400 and his father could not have been granted a charter in 1517.
