Biography

Allison was born about 1801.

Allison married John Reid in 19 Jul 1821 in Burntisland, Fife, Scotland.^[1].

In 1851 Alison was visiting the Scott family at 5 Madeira Place, North Leith with two of her daughters: Elizabeth and Margaret ^[2] The Scott family were relatives of Alison's.

In 1855, when her husband died, Alison became a widow. ^[3]

In 1861 Alison was living at Back Street, Burntisland with her daughter Margaret. Alison was a landlady and had three lodgers living at her home.^[4]

In 1871 Alison was living at Lothian Street in Burntisland, Fife. Her daughter Margaret and Margaret's husband and their two children lived with her.^[5]

In 1881 Alison was living at 10 Back Street Burntisland with her daughter Margaret and her family. She is an annuitant or in receipt of an annuity^[6]

Alison Gordon died on the 18th of March, 1884, aged 85. Her cause of death is given as old age^[7].

At the time of her death she was residing at 10 Somerville Street, Burntisland.^[8]
