In 1871 Alison was living at Lothian Street in Burntisland, Fife. Her daughter Margaret and Margaret's husband and their two children lived with her.[5]
In 1881 Alison was living at 10 Back Street Burntisland with her daughter Margaret and her family. She is an annuitant or in receipt of an annuity[6]
Alison Gordon died on the 18th of March, 1884, aged 85. Her cause of death is given as old age[7].
