Biography

At time of her wedding in 1940, Elizabeth was described as "a popular figure in the district, having been a member of the South Moor and Craghead Golf Club and for some years connected with the South Moor St. George's Amateur Operatic Society".

Gordon-9427 and Gordon-8393 appear to represent the same person because: Same name, dates, etc.

Birth Source: Dec Qtr 1912, Lanchester 10a, 739. Lanchester is the name of the registration district (also written as simply RD), 10a is the volume and 739 is the page number. Start with this website, https://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl and fill in the fields that you know. You're lucky that 1912 is the beginning of the period where the mothers' surname is recorded, so you can search for siblings. Before 1911 the mother's surname was not included in the index, so you have to use other ways to find brothers and sisters. Sorry I am in Australia and the hours where Melbourne and Fredericton, NB are both civil are very limited. But it would be good to chat on something like skype or facebook messages. It shouldn't be too hard to add to your tree.
