When Daniel Gordon was born on February 17, 1793, in Brentwood, New Hampshire, his father, Caleb, was 38 and his mother, Mary, was 35. He married Martha Trask on August 9, 1812, in Augusta, Maine. He died in 1854 in Pittsfield, Maine, at the age of 61.
