Spencer married Amy Margaret Smith on 9 Jan 1875 at St Paul's church Hampstead, Middlesex.[2] The couple had 4 children:

In 1881, the couple were living with their 3 older children at Mead House, Epsom, Surrey.[3]
He passed away on 19 April 1906 at the Granville hotel in Ramsgate, Kent, England UK.[4]
The probate index record states that Spencer William Gore resided at 10 Little College Street, Westminster. Adminstration was granted on 30 May 1906 to John Mantell, jeweller.[5]
