Biography

m. Laetitia Hamilton, July 6, 1811.

In 1808 he was a manufacturer of woolen machinery in Oswego, NY, and he was the first to introduce carding, or cloth dressing, machinery into Upper Canada (Ontario). He established a factory in Newmarket, Upper Canada, in 1809.
