Mary married twice, to Joseph Walsh in Oberon in 1908, reported in the Lithgow Mercury [1] She was given away by her brother, Mr. W. (William) Gorman, and the bridesmaids were the Misses Gorman, sisters of the bride (Gert and one of John's daughters?)
She married Harold Blakeney in Sydney in 1920. She is not known to have borne children. Harold is the son of Peter Mansfield Blakeney and Mary Ann Regent.
In 1924 she and Harold adopted the children of their neighbour Rachel Vilo Morris O'Brien of 600 Crown Street, (adoptions formally registered in 1932) Roy 1916-2006, [2] Alan (1921-1942) [3], Joyce [4]and Marie, married John Hastings Watson [1] Alan died At Sea 09 Apr 1942 [5].
A Harold Blakeney paid rates on 600 Crown street in Sydney in 1927. By 1929 the property had been rebuilt [6]
In 1931 they were living at 19 Susan Street Annandale. In 1935 they were living in the Granville area:
