BEARD -- Martha Gorman, 87, died Sunday, September 4, 2005, at Meadowbrook Specialty Hospital in Tulsa from complications related to Myasthenia Gravis. She was born May 31, 1918 in Muskogee, OK, to Marstella (Wooten) Gorman and Verne Bemis Gorman. She graduated from Muskogee Central High School and attended Oklahoma State University. Preceding Martha in death were brothers, Bobby and Buford Gorman and identical twin sister, Mary (Gorman) Land. She is survived by: daughters, Leslie Bond and Jo Ellen Beard of Tulsa; son, Ken Beard and wife, Rhonda of Muskogee; grandchildren, Austin Bond and wife, Jennifer of Norman, Lindsay Bond of Tulsa, Cassie, Vann and Kyle Beard of Muskogee; niece, Ruth Land Woodard of Nevada, MO; and nephew, Greg Land of Omaha, NE. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, September 9, at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Muskogee with Rev. Kevin Tully officiating.
