I was born in New South Wales, Australia, in the early 90's. Primarily, I split my time between raising my children, university education, and genealogy.
I'm involved with a number of Wikitree projects, including:
I dabble in genetic geneaology and have tested all of my direct family with Ancestry, plus a few males with FTDNA for Y-DNA. I class my DNA skills and knowledge as intermediate.
To the right of my profile you will find my GedMatch/Genesis kit number. Below are my relevant mitochondrial and y-DNA haplogroups. I've included ethnicity estimates just for fun and comparison.
MtDNA MtDNA haplogroup: T2b4f
Y-DNA Y-DNA haplogroup: I-P37. Closest match surname: Booth.
AncestryDNA ethnicity estimate & genetic communities
FTDNA myOrigins ethnicity estimate

It’s time for our annual Ireland Project check-in! Please respond within the next two weeks to let me know:
Please respond to this message by posting a reply below or sending me a private message on WikiTree. If we don’t hear from you within two weeks, we will assume you are no longer interested in participating in the Ireland Project, and your badge will be removed. If you wish to reapply for membership later, we will be happy to have you back. Many thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you!
Sincerely,
Jen Hutton, on behalf of the Ireland Project
The United Kingdom Project has not been active since 2018 and we are now completely closing it down. We are removing all UK project badges. If you still have an interest in the UK and have not already joined another project, then you will need to join the England, Ireland, Scotland or Wales Project by answering one or more of their G2G posts. If your interest is in the British Isles and British Crown Dependencies and Overseas Territories, then please contact me directly.
Regards Joan
I’ve not heard back from you regarding the Scotland Project check-in. I hope you are well and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

It’s time for a Project check-in!
Scotland Project Leaders check in with you at least once a year to see how you are doing. With the changes happening around the world, we understand that life is hectic right now.
What are you planning to work on for the Scotland Project this year? Are you happy with the team(s) you part of, or would you like to make some changes?
This time round, we’re also looking for feedback on the use of Google Group and Discord. Do you use one or both of these? If you don’t use either of them, what is the best way to ensure you receive Project communications? If you would like to join us on Google Group or Discord, let us know in your response.
We're sad to inform you that the Black Sheep Project is being dissolved. All BSP's subprojects will be moved in pieces under the Notables Project as categories and perhaps as Teams, depending on interest. Witch Trials will become a subproject of Notables.
Your BSP project member badge will soon be removed. If you'd like to join the Notables project, please let one of us know and we'll get you a Notables badge.
Please email either of us if you have any questions and if you'd like to join the Notables project.
Thanks, Susan McNamee & Traci Thiessen ~co-leaders, Black Sheep Project
The Australia Project leadership team are carrying out a check-in to see how you are going in the project and especially to thank you for all your work on Australian profiles on WikiTree. We really value your participation.
Please could you get back to me by private message to let me know if you are happy with your current role and team involvement within the project or if you would like to do something additional or different. Currently we have you down as a member of the NSW, Convicts and Profile Improvers teams. If you would like a change, you can check on the Australia Project page to see what other options there are.
It would also be great to hear any feedback and any suggestions that you have to improve the project. On a practical note, if you are a member of the google group, are you receiving messages ok? I look forward to hearing from you.
Gillian, co-Leader, Australia Project
I would therefore be very grateful if you would remove "Category:England Project" from your personal profile. Please contact me if you have any questions about this.
Many thanks, Jo, England Project Leader
The Ambassadors project has been reorganizing and is looking for those who have a membership at a genealogical society, to help in spreading the word about WikiTree.
We're working on ways to improve how WikiTree connects and interacts with genealogical and local history societies. This is the kind of thing we want to do:
Are you interested in participating in some way? Do you have some ideas to share?
Azure Rae ~ co-Leader of Ambassadors Project
As a member of the Scotland Project, we'd love to have you join the Twisted Thistles in the upcoming Connect-a-thon the weekend of July 17 - July 20. If you'd like to join us and help to develop our ever-expanding Scottish tree, please register on the G2G post here and be sure to mention you'd like to be on the Twisted Thistles team for Scotland.
We also have our team Chat page posted here.
The Global Cemeteries Project is currently undergoing our member check-in and wanted to verify that you are still active and interested in being a member of the project. Are you currently assigned to or working with one of our Cemetery Teams? If not, is there a particular Team or area you are interested in participating with? I would be delighted to help you get setup in one or more of our collaborative teams!
We use Google Groups for internal project collaboration, so if you are not yet setup for access feel free to submit a join request and we will get that approved as quick as possible. We also ask that members check their follwed tags to make sure you are following the correct project tag (CEMETERIES) so you don't miss any disucssions in G2G.
Last, but not least, we would like to thank you for all of your contributions to WikiTree and let you konw that any ideas or suggestions for improvement you may have for the Global Cemeteries Project would greatly appreciated!
I look forward to hearing form you soon!
Steve ~Global Cemeteries Project Leader
My name is Sarah and I’m the Project Coordinator for the Scotland Project. As you may have heard, we have merged the Scottish Clans project into the Scotland Project. I am contacting you today to find out if you are interested in continuing with us under this new format. If you would like to go forward on the Scottish Clans Team, please reply and let me know which clans you have been working on or would like to work on. I look forward to hearing from you.

Great job Jessica! Thanks for all your contributions to the Sourcerer's Challenges!
I noticed you chose our Integrators Challenge this month (January 2020), thank you! *Could you do us a favor though, and go here to sign up officially at https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/963273/wikitreers-join-integrators-challenge-january-happy-year
And if you can please add your question that you will be working on or the profile marked "needs profiles created" for the challenge. Thanks.
Got a question, see this page as well: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Integrators_Project_Challenge_Outline
https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Integrators_Challenge#How_the_Challenge_Works
Also, you can put a sticker on your profile You can do so by adding the words Integrators Challenge with the {{ }} in front and back, in your biography. Thank you and Good Luck!! Dorothy, Integrators Project Coordinator
It seems I did so accidentally... I have added profiles recently to the ‘needs profiles created’ category, however I didn’t intentionally click on the ‘integrators challenge’ button in the challenge tracker. I’m not sure what happened there!

Great Job! Thanks!

I've not heard back from your regarding the England Project check-in. I've sent two messages to you previously. I hope you are ok.
One of the requirements for England Project membership is that you respond to the check-ins. Requirements can be found on the England Project page. I've gone ahead and removed you from the project. We are sorry to see you go but you would be most welcome to rejoin via the G2G sign up post at any time.
Best wishes,
Susie, England Project Leader :-)
I sent you a message a while ago on behalf of the England Project Leaders and have yet to heard back from you. I hope you are well.
One of the requirements of membership in the England Project is that you respond to the six-monthly check-ins.
If I dont hear from you in the next week or so Ill assume you no longer wish to be in the project and go ahead and remove you. You would, of course, be most welcome to rejoin at any time via the G2G sign-up post.
Best wishes,
Susie :-)
On behalf of the England Leaders, I wanted to say a huge thank you for all your contributions towards the project in the past six months as a Team Member for Sourcerers and Data Doctors. We've achieved a great deal during this time and we couldn't have done it without you.
Are you happy to stay in your current teams and the project as a whole? Are there any other teams you'd like to join? What are we doing well, and what would you like to see us doing differently moving forwards?
Please respond to this message via e-mail. I look forward to hearing from you.
Many thanks,
Susie, England Project Leader :-)
As I have recently taken-on the role as the NSW Team Leader I thought I would just drop a quick note to thank you and to seek your input.
Firstly, I would love to know if there are any areas that you have an interest in looking at. Some of them might already be listed on the Free Space Page: Australia, Project Management - Proposed New Topics.
Secondly, I would love to know how you would prefer to be engaged and kept up-to-date. I would prefer to keep this as simple as possible and generating minimal emails etc. (if youre like me you already receive too many!). Whatever your preferences are would be fine.
Thanks in advance
Peter, NSW Team Leader
I'm following up my post on your profile about your interest in continuing as an active member of the Australia Project. We really hope you would like to stay involved and look forward to hearing from you as soon as convenient.
The Australia Project page has the list of teams for you to review, as well as our minimal requirements for active membership. If you have decided that you don't have time to contribute at the moment, that is absolutely fine too, and you can rejoin whenever you wish.
Kind Regards
Margaret Haining Membership Coordinator
On behalf of the Australia Project leadership team, we're carrying out a Project Members Check-in to see if you are still interested in being involved as an active member of the project. In particular, we are ready to launch our new teams for the project. Please could you let me know what team/s you would like to contribute to.
A list of teams is on the Australia Project page. Please respond by private message.
We really appreciate your enthusiasm in working on Australian profiles on WikiTree, and thank you for all the work you have been doing. We look forward to hearing back from you and that you will decide to be part of the project as we move forward with the new teams for the project.
Kind Regards
Margaret Haining Membership Coordinator
We realise the time has come to dissolve the UK Project in favour of the individual country projects of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.
We are checking in with all UK badge holders to find out which country project(s) you would like to be in so you can collaborate with other members, have the opportunity to select which team(s) you would like to join, and so we can ensure you have all the correct badges.
Please respond by PM to let us know which country project(s) you would like to be in. Please dont assume we know. We are effectively starting from scratch to make sure no one falls through the cracks.
Once you have done this, the Coordinator for Membership in the relevant country project(s) will be in touch to help get you situated.
Many thanks,
Susie
Thank you so much for responding to our check-in. We are delighted that you wish to continue contributing to the Black Sheep Project . Below is a quick checklist for active members. The project leaders would like you to make sure you have done the following:
1) Checked the Project Page for ways to contribute.
2) Added Project BLACK_SHEEP to the tags you follow.
Thank you!
Butch ~ Volunteer Coordinator
On behalf of the Project Black Sheep Leaders, we are doing a six-month check-in with members. Please let me know, by commenting on my profile or sending a private message, if you are still active in the project, and if so, how you have contributed to the main project or a sub-project within the last two months.
All of us at WikiTree would like to thank you for your contributions and hope that you are enjoying exploring your roots.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Butch ~ Volunteer Coordinator
I noticed that you used the Challenge Tracker to track a change during a recent Saturday Sourcing Sprint. Please consider officially joining us for the Saturday Sourcing Sprints. You can find information, including how to join, on the Sprints Help page.
No pressure, every profile with a source makes our WikiTree better. Your work will continue to be included in the Tracking Sheet's Unregistered total at the bottom of the help page if you do not register.
Your work is appreciated. Thanks for sourcing!
