Biography
Richard Gorton was born in about 1775 in Highworth, Wiltshire County, England.[1]
He married Mary Stafford at Coleshill on 29 October 1809. Their marriage banns were published in Highworth.[2] [3]
Mary and Richard Gorton apparently raised their family in Highworth and were still living there in 1841.[1]
Richard died in September 1856 and was buried at Highworth on 18 September 1856.[4]
